"Armando" is the grandfather's name who begun to run this activity in 1957 as a small wine bar where together with a glass of Chianti wine were served also "crostini" and few other tuscan "dishes".

Subsequently, under the insistence of the clients, (many of them were famous opera singers) the offer of the dishes has been increased and "Armando" became a typical "trattoria" maintaining a strong connotation of "tuscanity" in its dishes. Very soon "Armando" became a meeting point of the great names of the classical music panorama who were performing in the Teatro Comunale placed nearby.

The autographed photos that are placed all over the walls of the restaurant are countless and testify that "Armando" is not only a place where you eat but also a place where you live a small part of the music history.
